About CleanLaunch

While CleanLaunch is a new and innovative technology incubator with unique programming, CleanLaunch’s origins date back to the 1980’s.

We are the legacy of a group of technology incubators with a long and successful history assisting entrepreneurs that began in 1989 with the launch of the Boulder Technology Incubator (BTI), through the efforts of the University of Colorado, Ball Aerospace, Public Service Company (Xcel Energy), and the business community of Boulder.

After more than ten years of helping early stage companies in Boulder, and as the Colorado Technology Incubator (CTI d/b/a CTEK Venture Centers), the organization merged with Colorado Venture Centers (formerly the Colorado Biomedical Venture Center) and became Colorado Venture Centers d/b/a CTEK Venture Centers, Inc.).   In 2003, CTEK formed the CTEK Angels, a network of "angel investors" that invests in early stage companies.  CTEK expanded its reach to independently incorporated community-based centers in Longmont in 2002 (now the Longmont Entrepreneurial Network), and Denver/Stapleton in 2005 (Denver Ventures at Stapleton, Inc.).

Over the years we have amassed a network of over 1,000 senior level business advisors that volunteer their time to assist early-stage companies.  Through this network and with the help of our sponsors, our affiliated entities have assisted more than 500 start-up and early-stage companies, and CTEK Angels have invested in over 25 companies.
